Honeycomb wheel,  core part of rotor dehumidifier, is composed of a special ceramic fiber carrier impregnated with a high concentration of silica gel. The wheel is divided into two areas: process area and regeneration area.

Single fan operation mode involves only one common fan for both process and  regeneration airflow, through which we can achieve optimal heat recovery.

When the wet air enters process area, hygroscopic agent in the wheel absorbs the moisture in the air. And process fan sends the dried air out from the other side, due to the moisture extracted by the silica gel adsorption process.

For this drying process to continue, extracted moisture is required to be rejected from rotor in a separate counter-flow airstream.

Then dry air is heated up to a maximum value of 140°C, decreasing relative humidity to a rather low level, then passing through the regeneration zone.

Moisture in the regeneration area evaporates and is discharged to the outside of the desiccant dehumidifier.

Desiccant rotor constantly rotates while the above-mentioned dehumidification and regeneration processes are repeated.

In this way, desiccant rotor restores its capacity to adsorb water molecules and to continuously supply dry air.

Desiccant rotor dehumidifier has no freezing issues due to the absence of condensation during the dehumidification process. Desiccant dehumidifier can be installed without a connection to a drainage system, making it much more efficient. Even in the case of very low temperature, rotor dehumidification system has a excellent dehumidification performance.
